To earn your scuba certification, you must purchase and complete the Classroom & Pool Sessions and your Training Dives.
Our course price for your Classroom & Pool Sessions includes the materials for your Digital Learning. These will be sent to you after purchase so you can get started from the comfort of your home! Then it's time to learn alongside our instructors during Classroom & Pool Sessions. You’ll practice and master the skills needed to enjoy diving safely.
For class, you'll need your own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy, and Reel. Our team will help you find the right gear for the type of diving you plan to do. Plus we assist with fit, assembly, and warranty activation, and we offer a price match guarantee.
Not Included:
- Personal Snorkeling System & Safety Gear required for class (Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy, and Reel)
- Open Water Training Dives (4)
Four Open Water Training Dives are required to complete your certification, and should be done within six months of finishing your pool and classroom sessions.
These can be completed through three methods:
1. Locally
We have local opportunities to complete your training during the summer season. These are a great way to complete your training economically and close to home. Book an 'Open Water Diver Training Dives' option below. The cost includes your four dives and rental gear for the two days of diving.
2. Certification Vacation
Certification Vacations are short trips for our students looking to complete their Training Dives. Certification Vacations allow students to complete their certification in clear, warm ocean waters with an experienced Diventures instructor. Click here to learn more or schedule your trip!
3. Referral
If you have a trip already planned, we can complete paperwork for you to do your training dives there. Because you haven't completed your full certification yet, you will need to partner with a store that teaches under the same training agency (SSI) to receive credit for the portion you've already completed.

All students complete a New Student Orientation to review details about the course, paperwork, required gear, and any questions you have. We prefer to conduct these a week before your first class. Typically the orientation takes about 90 minutes so we can:
- Help setup your SSI app
- Ensure you have access to all digital materials and understand what needs to be completed
- Complete any outstanding paperwork and review the medical form
- Review the required personal gear items and conduct a personal gear fitting for the items you need
- Explain how to setup your personal gear so that it's 'pool ready' for the first session
- Address any questions or concerns you have

Medical Clearance
In order to participate, you will need a clean bill of health or a physician's approval to dive. This form will be sent to you following registration and needs to be completed prior to your first session, including physician approval, if applicable. If you do not receive medical clearance from your physician for whatever reason, then we will issue a full refund for the course.
Junior Open Water Certification
Junior Open Water Certifications are available for students ages 10-14.
